If you have a septic system, then you know what goes into it. If the system isn’t working right, then what’s going in is also coming back out. There are about 1 million septic systems in Indiana, and about 20% of them are failing. That means 200,000 of these systems are leaking human waste that makes its way to our waterways. By taking action, you are helping prevent these contaminants from causing serious human health conditions and destroying wildlife habitat.
